Character B correctly states that competition can be for ANYTHING - such as sunlight, water, or space. This is a very important idea because it helps students to understand that all living organisms compete in some way. Answer A is a common thought since this is what is often shown on nature shows - great footage of rams butting heads, or vultures fighting one another for the road kill. Answers C and D reflect the same idea.
